We’ll look to you to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing them with high quality service by delivering our hospitality excellence experience, beverages and products, whilst creating our third place environment.

You'll be working with your team to run the shift and making sure that our partners can create and maintain the Starbucks experience for our customers. Alongside your previous supervising or mentoring experience we'd also love to see you have a passion for bringing joy to our customers. Working in a Starbucks store is different from any other job. You’re creating genuine moments of connection with our customers and making a difference to their day, through creating handcraft delicious beverages and building relationships with our customers (getting to know their favourite drink), and with your fellow partners in store.

  • The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working in one of our fast-paced stores, a typical day could include: Leading store procedures, alongside your store manager, including, opening or closing the store, cash handling, and safety and security
  • Supporting your fellow partners to do their best work in bringing the Starbucks Experience to life on each shift

  • Assisting with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.Providing feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift

Given the nature of our stores, our working hours could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays. All the roles in our stores are customer facing and our partners get involved in every aspect of the successful operation of the store – so this is a great opportunity for you to build relationships with our customers and learn new or develop existing skills.

You’ll also have the opportunity, if you’d like, to join our partner communities. These are a great network of our partners who will influence and lead local activities related to our communities. Whether you’re joining as you have an interest or would like to be a friend, you’ll have the chance to support our wellbeing blend, woman’s impact network, pride network or black partner network. There’s also the opportunity to support partners within your district as a mental health ally.

All of our retail store partners begin their careers with us by undertaking an introductory training programme which are led by our amazing in store trainers and coaches and are designed to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These training programmes are delivered in our stores and provide partners with the opportunity to learn on the job supported by their manager.
